A Dental Journey That Began With Pain and Gaps

Before receiving treatment, Siona had been living with two concerns that were affecting his teeth: ongoing pain and a number of noticeable gaps.

Speaking about his condition before treatment, he described it simply:

“I had a lot of pain in my teeth and a lot of gaps.”

Siona travelled to Vietnam for dental care and, based on what he shared during his interview, received 24 dental crowns — 12 upper and 12 lower.

For patients travelling overseas for treatment, the clinical side of the journey is only one part of the experience. Being in an unfamiliar country can also mean adjusting to a new environment, meeting a new dental team and communicating about treatment away from home.

When Siona was asked how he felt about the service and the people around him during his time with Vietnam Dental, his response was straightforward.

“Very happy. Very happy with the service and the people, and very easy to communicate with everyone.”

That comment was an important part of his story. Feeling comfortable enough to communicate openly can make a significant difference during a dental journey, particularly for someone receiving care overseas.

Siona was also asked whether he would recommend the experience to his friends and people back home. His answer was an immediate and enthusiastic “Hundred percent.”

At the end of the interview, he was asked to rate his overall experience on a scale from one to ten.

His answer brought a light-hearted end to the conversation:

“Eleven.”

When the interviewer repeated, “Eleven?”, Siona confirmed it with a smile: “Eleven, yeah.”

Siona’s interview is short, but it gives a clear picture of what mattered to him: addressing the dental problems that had been troubling him, feeling comfortable with the people involved in his care, and being able to communicate easily throughout the experience.

His story reflects one individual patient journey, from arriving with pain and gaps to completing his 24-crown treatment and sharing his thoughts afterwards.

For Australian patients, Vietnam Dental also provides support through its Melbourne office, helping make the journey to Vietnam even more convenient and accessible.
