Patient:Naaman Age:58 Time:2026-08-31 View:1007

At 58, Naaman travelled from Brisbane, Australia, to Vietnam for dental treatment after living with dental problems that had begun to affect more than just his ability to eat.
Speaking openly about his teeth before treatment, Naaman described them simply as having “seen better days.” Missing teeth and ongoing discomfort had also started to affect him psychologically.
“It does have a psychological effect when missing teeth, when one is in great pain,” he explained.
For Naaman, travelling overseas for treatment was a significant journey, but his first impressions of Vietnam were positive. Looking back, he described the experience as “great” and remembered feeling warmly welcomed from the moment he arrived at the airport.
That sense of care continued during his time with the dental team.
“They treat you like family here,” Naaman said.
He also spoke appreciatively about the staff and the attention he received throughout his treatment, saying they had “really outdone themselves in looking after their patients.”
After treatment, Naaman noticed changes that were important to him in everyday life. He felt happier with his smile and was pleased to be able to eat more comfortably again. He also felt that his new teeth gave him a fresher, younger appearance.
“I got to admit, the teeth do make you look younger,” he said.
One of the most personal signs of progress was something very simple: food. Naaman laughed about how much he was looking forward to enjoying steak again.
“So now I can’t wait for the steaks,” he said. “I just think that I’m going to enjoy the steaks.”
When asked what he would say to someone considering dental treatment, his response reflected how he felt about his own experience:
“Come and get it done. It’s worth it.”
For Naaman, the journey to Vietnam was not only about addressing dental problems. It was also about feeling more comfortable, enjoying food again and moving forward with greater confidence in his smile.
For Australian patients, Vietnam Dental also provides support through its Melbourne office, helping make the journey to Vietnam even more convenient and accessible.
