Robert Gibson travelled from Australia to Vietnam with a clear goal: he wanted to restore his teeth, fill the gaps in his smile, and feel more comfortable smiling again.

Before treatment, Robert had several missing teeth, including a prominent front tooth. During his initial conversation with the team, he estimated that he was missing around eight or nine teeth. The gaps had affected the overall condition of his smile and were the main reason he decided to seek dental treatment.

“I came to get my smile back,” Robert explained. “I want to get my smile back and fill in the gaps.”

Following his dental assessment, Robert received six dental implants as well as crowns for his upper and lower teeth. His treatment involved preparing the remaining teeth for crowns and placing the implants needed to support the planned restoration.

Like many patients considering dental treatment overseas, Robert had concerns about how painful the procedures might be. After going through the treatment, however, he described the experience as more manageable than he had expected.

“Getting your teeth ground wasn’t too bad, and getting the screws put in was even less,” he said.

Robert experienced some soreness for a couple of days after treatment, along with mild swelling in his face. He was careful not to describe the experience as completely without discomfort, but said that it was not extremely painful. By the day of his interview, he reported that his face was already feeling much better.

Another important part of Robert’s experience was the support he received throughout his stay. He appreciated that the practical details were handled for him, allowing him to concentrate on attending his appointments and recovering.

“I haven’t had to do anything apart from come here, so everything’s taken care of,” he shared.

When asked whether he was satisfied with the service, Robert’s answer was simple and direct: “Yeah, very. Very much.”
